Product details

Mode of action

Both adults and larvae pierce their prey (Echinothrips americanus and other thrips species, spider mites, whiteflies, and other arthropods) with their mouthparts and extract the contents.

Visual effect

Vespidend sucks out the body contents of its prey, leaving only the empty skin.

Product specifications

Pack size 1.000 adults.
Presentation 100 ml bottle.
Carrier Buck wheat.

Directions for use

Application

Vespidend should always be introduced in at least 2 releases. Time the second release according to the life cycle duration to avoid cannibalism of adults on larvae. Preventive release is advised to minimize crop damage, but also requires supplementary feeding. Curative strategies take longer to show efficacy and usually the crop endures more damage (results can be seen 4-5 weeks after the first release).

Dosage

Preventive dosages: 2-5 individuals / m2 + EntoFood

Curative dosages: 5-10 individuals / m2 in “easy” crops, 10-20 individuals / m2 in more “difficult” crops

Vespidend is active in a temperature range from 18°C/64°F to 30°C/86°F.
