Vidi Fol (Fortafol)

Preparation

Foliar application:

• Shake container well before use
• Fill the application tank with half the required amount of water
• Add the correct amount of Vidi Fol to the water
• Mix thoroughly
• Fill the tank with the remaining amount of water
• The pH of the solution should be between 5 and 7
• Spray immediately after preparation

Application via irrigation systems:

• Dissolve the required amount of Vidi Fol in the appropriate amount of water for the device that is used
• The pH of the solution should be between 5 and 7

Application

Can be applied with standard spraying or drenching equipment.

Application as drench or via irrigation system:

• A separate tank/container is recommended for the proper preparation and application of the product
• Always add Vidi Fol to the irrigation water after the sand filter, ideally directly injected at the irrigation valve by means of an injection pump (e.g. Dosatron) or Venturi system
• Avoid drainage in substrates when applying by drench/drip to prevent leaching
• Make sure Vidi Fol (Fortafol) does not remain in the irrigation system overnight
• Use disinfectants regularly to keep the irrigation system clean, but do not use Vidi Fol at the same time as the disinfectant

Application via spraying:

• Always ensure that the spray tank is clean
• Ensure good crop coverage

Dosage

• The dosage of Vidi Fol depends on crop, growth substrate and climate and should always be adjusted to the particular situation
• Start application preventively soon after planting of the crop
• Application rates typically range from 0.5-3 litres/ha
• Applications should be repeated a number of times
• Consult a Koppert advisor or a recognized distributor of Koppert products for advise on the best strategy for your situation

Compatibility

• Do not mix Vidi Fol with products containing calcium to avoid precipitation
• Do not mix Vidi Fol with systemic pesticides
• An increased uptake of pesticide compounds can cause damage to plants
• Do not tankmix with beneficial microbes

Environmental conditions

• The pH of the solution should be between pH 5-7.
• Young plants can be sensitive. Test the sensitivity of the plants on a small scale, prior to full treatment.
• Do not mix Fortafol with products containing calcium and avoid mixing the product with pesticides. An increased uptake of these compounds can cause damage to plants.

Notes

• In some countries the product is sold under the old name Fortafol
• Vidi Fol can cause damage to young plants. Test the sensitivity of the plants on a small scale, prior to full treatment

Storage time after receipt

• See package for expiry date.
• Storage time is strongly reduced once the package has been opened.

Storage temperature

5-20°C/41-68°F.

• In a cool dark place
• Avoid direct sunlight
• Protect against freezing

The concentrated product causes serious eye damage and is toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
