When to use Artefeed?

Use Artefeed in the beginning of the growing season, when the Macrolophus population needs to establish and develop.

How does Artefeed work?

The cysts (eggs) form an alternative source of food for both adult and nymph-stage Macrolophus pygmaeus in the absence of whitefly. It is therefore possible to build up a population of predatory bugs.

Directions for use

Application Artefeed

Introduce Entofood together with the first introduction of Macrolophus pygmaeus, for a period of at least six weeks.
Switch to Artefeed after six weeks if desired
Distribute Artefeed using a Mini-Airbug* blower on a weekly basis until the Macrolophus population is large enough.
Apply Artefeed on the locations in the greenhouse where Macrolophus has been introduced

When switching to Artemia, a different dosage pot must be fitted to the Mini-Airbug.

Best working conditions Artefeed

To guarantee the best distribution of Artefeed with the Mini-Airbug, follow the steps below:

Start from the end of a path and walk/drive towards the central walkway
Make sure Artefeed is distributed on top of the crop
Hold the Mini-Airbug in such an angle that all material lands on the crop
Turn off any ventilators in the greenhouse; they can disturb the airflow of the Mini-Airbug

Handling

Koppert B.V. is not liable for any loss of quality if the product is stored for longer than recommended and/or under incorrect conditions.

Storage instructions:

Allow the bucket to acclimatise in the greenhouse before use, keep the lid closed, in order to prevent condensation and the formation of lumps
Storage temperature: 8-25°C
Store in a dry place
Keep away from the sun
If stored with firmly closed lid in a dry and dark place, Artefeed can be stored for several months
