Product details

Mode of action

CeraSulfur is a protective fungicide with a contact mode of action and a multi-site mechanism against powdery mildew. Due to its low particle size and hydrophilic properties, CeraSulfur is effective at low application rates without compromising coverage, requiring 25–50% less product compared to conventional sulfur formulations. These characteristics also result in minimal spray residues compared to conventional sulfurs.

The low particle size maximizes the contact surface between sulfur and the pathogen. In addition, the porous structure of CeraSulfur provides a rapid onset of activity and a long-lasting protective effect. In addition, the unique formulation provides the sulfur with a high resistance to runoff.

After application, CeraSulfur forms a protective layer on the crop surface and begins to vaporize at moderate temperatures. The sulfur vapor penetrates powdery mildew mycelium and spores, disrupting fungal respiration. On the leaf surface, sulfur is also directly effective through contact with the pathogen.
