Preparation
Seed treatment equipment must be thoroughly cleaned with hot water and a suitable detergent before and after applying Cedomon.
Biological seed dressing to control seed-borne fungal diseases in cereals (barley, spelt, oats)
Also suitable for organic cultivation
Cedomon is a biological seed dressing that protects seeds against fungal diseases, hence supports growth and development of young cereal plants up to the five-leaf stage. Suitable for organic and conventional cultivation.
Seed-borne fungal diseases; Fusarium spp., common bunt (Tilletia spp.), leaf stripe (Pyrenophora graminea), leaf blotch (Pyrenophora chaetomioides), net blotch (Pyrenophora teres), covered smut (Ustilago hordei) and leaf spot (Septoria passerinii). Always check the local product label before usage.
Barley, spelt, oats. Do not apply Cedomon on de-husked spelt seeds.

The bacteria Pseudomonas chlororaphis MA342, present in Cedomon, multiply on the seed and compete with pathogens attached to the seed. The bacteria produce substances that have a lethal effect on the fungal diseases on the seed. After sowing, the Pseudomonas bacteria continue to multiply. On the roots of the crop, the growing bacteria compete with the pathogens for space and nutrients, inhibiting pathogen development and thus protecting the roots and the plant. The bacterium induces systemic resistance, this strongly increases the defense capacity of the young plants. Growth is especially promoted under stress conditions.
The living bacteria Pseudomonas chlororaphis, present in Cedomon, multiply on the seed and compete with other pathogens attached to the seed. This is the way it works:
This is a great beginning for a healthy, flourishing, and resilient crop and is the perfect starting point for better production results.
Cedomon offers both an immediate and long-lasting control on a wide variety of seed-borne diseases.
How does it work?
| Pack size | 10, 200 or 1000 litre. |
| Formulation | Emulsion for seed treatment (ES) with additional blue dye. |
| Concentration | 1x10⁹ - 1x10¹⁰ cfu (viable Pseudomonas chlororaphis strain MA342 cells)/ml. |
Seed treatment equipment must be thoroughly cleaned with hot water and a suitable detergent before and after applying Cedomon.
Wear appropriate protective clothing. Cedomon is offered as a ready-to-use oil emulsion and must be distributed as evenly as possible on the seed. Closed seed treatment equipment must be used to apply on the seed.
Apply preventively at a rate of 0,75 L/100 kg of seed. Always check the product label for more information. Consult a Koppert advisor or a recognized distributor of Koppert products for advice on the best strategy for your situation.
